Hey ho, Nation!

We would like to invite EVERYONE from all parts of the globe to the "2015 KJN International Meet Up!!!" :)

This year we have decided to meet up in The Hague in the Netherlands on 21st November 2015!!!  We hope to see you there!
With 6 months notice, hopefully there will be a nice turnout :)

In the past such events have been held in Oslo and in parts of Germany, but we would like to create/continue a culture of selecting a different country each year for many international KJN members to travel and "meet and greet" each-other before a Katzenjammer gig :)

We plan to have dinner together and get to know each-other (venue and time TBC).  We aim to leave plenty of time for a relaxed meal and enough time to queue up early for front row positions for………(you guessed it!) a KATZENJAMMER gig, which starts at 20:00!!!

Please sign your name below if you are interested in joining us!  And please advise of any allergies.
So that we can instantly get an idea of numbers, we would also appreciate it if you could take the time to vote in the poll :)

We will edit this post as the event is updated.  When we have more of an idea about what numbers to expect, we will then select an appropriate venue for dinner ensuring everyone has a comfortable seat! :)

Gig Tickets:

You can buy concert tickets through the links on our gig page on the KJN website

Make sure to use google translate if you have any problems understanding Dutch!!  If you are outside of Europe, make sure to ask one of your European KJN friends to help you get a tickets :)  Otherwise, for non-Dutch it might be easier to buy tickets via ticketmaster. You can change the language to English but tickets are a little more expensive than on the venue link on our gig page on the KJN website.

Closest Airport:

For traveling international fans who want to fly to NL: probably the easiest is flying into Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol). From the airport there are direct trains to Den Haag (30 min, single ticket € 9,20). Of course you also can fly to Rotterdam Airport.

Accommodation:

Check out Airbnb for cheaper alternatives to hotels.  If there are a few of you travelling together, it is even possible to book an entire apartment on this wonderful website! :)

Looking forward to seeing you all in 6 months for the KJN International "Meet Up", 2015!!! :)

Niamh and Linda

EDIT 26/09/15: The Katzenjammer Nation International Annual Meet Up in The Hague, Netherlands, is coming up VERY soon on November 21st 2015!

Please RSVP before October 15th so we can finalise plans for dinner before the gig! Hope to see you there! :D

At the moment: the choices for dinner are between Italian; Indonesian; Thai and a Cafe.

Tell us what you want! :)  And please let us know how many people you want to take in the same comment :)

You can also have 2 votes in the poll: one for whether you are coming or not, and one for what type of food you would like if you are coming (unfortunately it is not possible to create 2 polls in 1 thread on SMF)

The menu for the Italian restaurant is here: http://forum.katzenjammer-nation.no/index.php?topic=757.msg5699#msg5699

And more information about the other options is here: http://forum.katzenjammer-nation.no/index.php?topic=757.msg5686#msg5686

Of course me and Björn will be there too!!

I've added the ticket link of the venue itself on the gig list. It's a little cheaper than ticketmaster, but for non-Dutch it might be easier to buy tickets via ticketmaster. You can change the language to English. http://www.ticketmaster.nl/event/katzenjammer-tickets/148167

It's on a Saturday and I'm on holiday so I'll be there :)

Tuesday: London. Thursday: Edinburgh. Saturday: The Hague. Holiday weeks don't come much better.

I selected: Hmmm.  Too much to organise.  But have fun!

But it would have been more accurate to say: The Hague?  It might as well be on the moon, as far as I'm concerned.

I never leave London, unless you count venturing into adjacent parts of Essex.

But have fun!

Great! The poll is more for giving an impression how many people might come.

I asked a friend who is living in Den Haag and she recommended a few restaurants:

Italian: Very Italian Pizza
Indonesian: Istana
Thai: See You At Noon
Café-Restaurant Rootz

She also said that the Italian is probably the nicest, cheap and very suitable for bigger groups. If someone has other preferences or other suggestions that's also fine.

I'm happy with any of those options. I trust they're not too far from the venue.

Definitely in favour of the Italian place - good prices and a good range of choices to suit all diets :)

Plus - there is a VIP menu for groups over 4 (if my non existent Dutch is correct?)  The cheapest one is the pizza with choice of drink.  Could be an option to organise this deal for those who simply want pizza?  Naturally if not everyone wants this, they can order a la carte and buy drinks seperately!  So so avenues are covered :)

Where did you see something about this deal?
