So....there are a few of us going to Copenhagen - I guess we should pick somewhere close to the venue for dinner before the gig and a nice catch up - and hopefully also meet some newbies?

Though...I hear everything is within walking distance of everything else within Copenhagen....

Does anyone with knowledge of Copenhagen have any suggestions on where to go so we can book somewhere?

And who is coming?! :) (So we know how many to book for).

EDIT: Please RSVP by Wednesday 6th February as a lot of restaurants are closed on Sundays in Denmark so we need to book a table ASAP.

We'll meet at at 17:30 at Mad Manifesten on 17/02/13. Their website is here: http://www.madmanifesten.dk/

This restaurant is quite close to the venue but because the kitchen is small, we will need to make a booking to ensure we aren't turned away and we all get fed!!!

Wooohooo!!!  I guess somewhere close to the venue will be just great! :)

Just had a quick google which says Copenhagen "sleeps" on Sundays and a lot of restaurants and bars are closed  :o :o :o

After researching a few of the "recommended" restaurants in Copenhagen - they are ALL closed on Sundays!!!  There are a few very overpriced ones open - with my non-existent Danish I discovered that most of these only have set Michelin star type menus - tbh I think we'd all prefer something a little more budget, and a little less formal which offers à la carte menus - definitely more ideal in an already very expensive country!!! ;)

I have found this place http://www.mashsteak.dk/ - it is open from 17:30 on Sundays and is "cheap"(er) than anything else I have found that is actually OPEN on a Sunday.  However.....it is a 20 minute journey on public transport from the venue.....

What say ye?! ;)

EDIT:  I have found this place which is open 5pm on Sundays for dinner and it is just around the corner from the venue.  http://www.madmanifesten.dk/  There are not many options available with everywhere closed - I reckon we just "try it".  Their "special" on a Sunday is their burger for 95 kr and they seem to be very proud of the fact that they serve Nørrebro Bryghus øl.

Ominously they state "Da vi jo har et lille køkken, forbeholder vi os retten til at sige nej ved spidsbelastninger" which means because they have a small kitchen they reserve the right to refuse to say "no" at peak times!   :o :o :o  So....if people wish to go with this option, we will need to book online and confirm numbers ASAP!!!!!

If everyone interested could RSVP by this Wednesday 6th Feb 2013, I'll make a booking.  Or, if people are not happy with this choice, please offer an alternative that is open on Sundays :)

Jeg sier ja til søndagsburgeren!!!!! Seems like it's possible to reserve tables online: http://www.madmanifesten.dk/BESTIL-BORD-HER.

We can!!!!  :)  And we will do so on Wednesday :)

So should we stick with Mad Manifesten, or go with Schtoeffie's suggestion above???  It also looks nice! And is definitely OPEN too!  Her suggestion probably has a greater menu selection (for some reason it wouldn't open on my browser though!)

I'll be there. Madmanifesten would be my preferred option given its proximity to the venue. It means we can avoid looking/waiting for transport after the meal, especially on a Sunday.

Perfect - then since Florian is happy with Mad Manifesten, and so are you, and so am I.....we'll just go with that option.  I agree re proximity to the venue :)

But Schtoeffie's suggestion is a great alternative in the event we left the booking too late for Mad Manifesten :)

I like both options...but agree with the advantage of proximity to the venue re Mad Manifesten  8)

We could try Schtoeffie's suggested place on Saturday night - those who are in town  ;) ;) ;)

Hmmm. Only 4 days to go and my ticket still hasn't arrived. :(  I contacted BilletExpressen last week and they said they sent it out in January. They promised to send me another copy but. as yet, nothing. I can see myself having to go to their offices on Saturday afternoon to collect yet another copy. Hassle I could do without.

By the way, what times are we meeting at the restuarants on Saturday and Sunday?
